Do you want to know something new about exchange program in Holland? Read this article!

The students of the Evanjelicke Lyceum were in Holland the first week of October. They went there, because it was an exchange program and the students wanted to see another country. This trip wasn´t very expensive. They wanted to meet new people, too. They visited the capital city of Holland, Amsterdam.

The exchange program is like a tradition in our school. The students went on this trip, because they had never been there before; they got to know another culture and people.  The journey to Holland took the whole night, about 12 hours. Our students lived with Holland families. The houses, where the students lived, were very beautiful.  They visited the school which the exchange students attend.  “What I didn´t like about this trip were the teachers who were smoking outside the school with their students who even were not 15 years old. It was really weird for me” said Miroslav Cambel. Also the students weren´t behaving very well, but the school was nice and it looks very modern. They were going to school on a bicycle. It is modern. Everyone, who was on this trip, had at least one bicycle.

When they were in Holland, they went on several trips, for example to Amsterdam. “My biggest experience from Amsterdam is definitely Anna Frank´s house. In spite of being a negative experience, it is my biggest“said Petra Slastanova.

The students tried Holland´s national food, but they really didn´t like it. The host families were trying to cook for them only their traditional food and that was also one of the points of the trip. J Someone had bread with nutella and pieces of chocolate every morning.

I hope that this trip will happen next year, because I want to go.
