Reactions to the ID cards varies, depending on whom you speak to.

The electronic ID cards are working at the Evangelical Lyceum from October 2010, because it’s good for the school to have an electronic list of students.

Do you think that ID cards are good or bad? I’m sure that you agree that it’s a hard question. I asked some students and parents and everyone had a different opinion.

Since October 2010, when the school started using the electronic ID cards, everything has changed. I asked students about the cards and they had different reactions. “At first it was really interesting,” one student said.  But another said. “I’m really tired of using these cards, because if you come to school you have to sign up your ISIC and then you have to do the same thing when you leave.” The students joked that it’s against human rights, exactly against the freedom of privacy and movement. Then I asked parents. “Of course, we are very satisfied.  It’s good to see whether your child visits school every day.”

This card has a lot of benefits too, because you could use it in 120 other countries and you can get a lot of sales in the shops. Our students' favorite sale is in Mc Donald’s. If you want this card, you will pay only 20 euros and every next year it will be less and less. So don’t hesitate and start using it.
