Dorm Students are Not Couch Potatoes. By Beja Bednáriková.
Students who don't live in the Evangelical Lyceum Dormitory don't know how much fun it is. Read to find out why dorm students are not couch potatoes.
The students of the Evangelical Lyceum are not only from Bratislava. Some people live in the other cities in Slovakia, but they do not want to travel the whole day so they live in the dormitory during the week.
Maybe people think that students from the dormitory are “couch potatoes.” They get up 10 minutes before school, they can go home during free classes, they have some advantages in school – people would say they “live like kings.” Is it really true?
To get an honest opinion, I asked dorm students. One student said: “ I have training at least twice a week. Sometimes I run or go shopping. I am only a little bit lazy.“ But another student said : “Yes, the dorm is making me lazy without doubt.“
In my opinion, people from the dormitory are not lazier than other poeple. I agree that the dorm is comfortable, but we do not want to have prejudice, do we? People are different and that is what the dormitory is about- to know other, different people.
