The big book sale which started on Thursday 16.6 and ended on Friday 17.6 , included 218 books and magazines which haven´t been borowed last 5 years. All of these books were sold, making 76,30 euro for the library fund and freeing up place in library for new books.

The book sale ran 2 days, and made 76,30 euro. There were many interesting books such as encyklopedias, novels, magazines, National Geographic and many other books. This book sale was the great idea of Profesor J.T. Stensvaag (librarian). He thought that it was a good chance for the English library to get money and to get some space for another books because room of library is too small. This idea was also good for students who could build their personal English library. Only books that had not been borrowed for five years were put in sale. But despite it you could find there many interesting and very cheap books. There were very good prices of big encyklopedias for 5 euro or smaller books for 1 euro, but cheapest were the National Geographic magazines, costing only 25 cents each. And on Friday there was 50% discount (exept National Geographic magazines). Students mostly liked National Geographic magazines but also some students liked encyclopedias or novels. And students who didn´t to want spend their money on books took free books which were very damaged but readable. But many students thought that although many of these books were old , it wasn´t waste of money.
